Abstract

With help from Hungary's Information Ministry, HAS's Research Institute of Computer Science and Automation has just posted on the Internet a search programme to detect fragments of texts identical with earlier texts. Learn more about this very useful service from www.kopi.sztaki.hu. The act of plagiarism has become an accute problem in the field of education, mostly in higher education where more and more publications, theses and essays are created from digital sources and fail to give proper citation. Of course, such misuses seriously damage the reputation of the institutions concerned.
