Abstract

The paper gives an overview of supply-chain-related problems marked as focal issues by recent trends, as well as tracking and tracing technologies commonly applied to solve them. Especially in economies relying on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), it is important to make such technologies affordable for small participants of production—such envisaged plans of ongoing research and development are presented in the paper as well.
