Abstract

Parameterized mechanism modeling is the starting point of many design problem, like synthesis, path-planning, corrections etc, therefore the computer-aided mechanism modeling should be able to handle parameterized mechanisms. The theory of computer-aided mechanism - or multi-body modeling - distinguishes two main modeling techniques the i.)augmented and the ii.) embedded methods. In this article we will give the short overview of the two technique and discusses their advantages and disadvantages in the different mechanism modeling areas.
